12/8/2025

On November 22nd, the Peck Community Center was filled with warmth and gratitude as about 50 residents gathered for the annual Thanksgiving dinner. The event was a true celebration of togetherness, with neighbors bringing their favorite homemade dishes to share.

The city generously provided ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy, all prepared by Mayor Cheryl Carson. The delicious spread was complemented by the variety of side dishes and desserts contributed by attendees, showcasing the culinary talent and traditions of the community.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed good food and great company, strengthening bonds and creating new friendships. The dinner was a reminder of the importance of coming together, sharing, and supporting one another—values that make the community center a special place for all.

As plates were cleared and stories exchanged, the spirit of Thanksgiving was alive and well, leaving everyone looking forward to next year’s gathering.
