Dear valued citizens of Peck,
Some drivers might think of speed limits as more like friendly suggestions rather than strict rules, similar to adjusting a recipe to taste. This mindset often results in drivers exceeding speed limits by significant margins. The reality is that speed limits are laws, not suggestions, and failing to follow them can have devastating consequences. The City of Peck has received complaints about vehicles exceeding speed limits, particularly on Big Canyon Road and Main Street near the school where children play outside and cross to visit the library during school hours. In addition to students, there are also other children who don't attend school that need to be taken into account. Furthermore, parents and grandparents should be able to let their kids play outside without worrying about the dangers of speeding vehicles.
The 20 MPH speed limit on Main St is not just limited to school zones, it is a 24/7 speed limit throughout the entire City of Peck.
We urge all community members to exercise utmost caution. It is imperative that everyone adheres to our speed limits and shows consideration for their fellow citizens. Your cooperation is vital in maintaining a safe environment for all.
